Featuring Photographer Bill Melonides
Our featured photographer is Bill Melonides. Bill joined the MVP staff in 1998. Bill studied journalism at Purdue University and then transferred to Columbia College in Chicago where he trained in motion picture photography. Bill has worked on over a dozen major Hollywood motion pictures filmed in Chicago in the 1990s as well as many independent films and network television programs.
Wanting to transition from motion picture to still photography, Bill worked closely with many noted Chicago area wedding and portrait photographers. After many years of hard work and guidance, Bill has become one of the top wedding and portrait photographers in Chicago.
A child of Greek parents, Bill has deep ties to the Greek community in Chicago. A long-time member of St. Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Church, Bill and his wife Christina now reside in the western suburbs and are members of Holy Cross parish in Justice, IL.
Since 2005 Bill has been MVP’s President and Director of Photography, Bill is completely at home when photographing the traditional Greek wedding ceremony & reception. He speaks fluent Greek and has extensive knowledge of Greek customs and has familiarity with most of the area parishes and clergy. All of these factors make him ideally suited to photograph Greek weddings. Additionally, Bill has photographed hundreds of weddings of other faiths.
